Installed in the former hospital, of which the salle lapidaire (13th century) remains, it has rich collections which trace the historic past of the town of Toul. It consists of over 28 themed rooms, which the visitor moves through chronologically, from pre-history, to the Middle Ages to modern day.

Public opening times:

- From 1 October to 30 April, form 2pm to 5pm – (mornings reserved for groups).

- From 2 May to 30 September, from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6pm.

Closed on Tuesdays and 1 January, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, 1 May, 14 July, 1 November, 24, 25 and 31 December.

Library opens on Monday afternoons.
