THE AUBEPRE GARDEN

About

Wander through the Aubepré garden and visit the wide collection of trees, bushes, as well as perennials and the specific features of the botanical environment surrounding a pond. Perfume, foliage and colours all create a romantic and intimate atmosphere.

The garden is labeled “jardin remarquable” (remarkable garden); the village has been awarded « 4 Fleurs » (4 flowers) by the Comité National du fleurissement and it won a silver medal in the European Floral City contest.

A wonderful botanical garden of 1 hectare with more than 900 species of perennial plants and 3000m² of water completely built by volunteers.

This garden was designed and created by 3 botanical enthusiasts named Raphaël Arnould, Michel Capdevielle and Lionel Gonzalez. The scenery looks flamboyant, the flourishing vegetation is luxuriant and the mixture of many different perfumes is truly subtle. Within the water, koi carps seem to play hide and seek with the water lilies.
